Leading defence-manufacturing companies from Pakistan participated at the 14th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) held in Istanbul from 30 April to 3 May 2019. Minister for Defence Production Ms. Zobaida Jalal, who led Pakistan delegation to the event, cut ribbon with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to inaugurate the fair. “Pakistan Pavilion,” established in the fair, attracted a large number of visitors and prospective buyers. Pakistani stalls were one of the most visible and frequently visited. On the side-lines, the Minister for Defence Production Zobaida Jalal met with Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar and other dignitaries. Leading Pakistani companies including Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF), Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), National Radio & Telecommunication (NRTC), etc. participated in the event.
