1) Tourist Visa

  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Invitation Letter from the sponsor or hotel booking details in case of individual tourist.
    • Invitation Letter in case of group by the Tour Operator designated by the department of tourist services.
  • Duration and Validity
    • -Applicant (Single/ multiple) for short duration less than 3 months (First Time entry).
    • Duration up to and greater than 6 months (Extension).
    • Citizens from these countries (https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/electronic-travel-authorizationi-eta/) may be eligible for a Double Entry Tourist Visa.
    • A Tourist Visa can be extended to up to 6 Months or more, subject to approval.
  • Processing Time. 7-10 Working Days

 

2) Tourist Visa (On Arrival). Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility 
    • To avail the Tourist Visa On Arrival, you must be a citizen of countries listed here (http://visa.nadra.gov.pk/tourist-friendly-countriestfc/).
    • Foreign nationals of Indian origin are also eligible to apply under this category for religious tourism purposes.
    • Tour Operators approved by the Pakistan Directorate of Tourist Services (DTS) may be allowed to bring Tourist - roups under this category.

  • Required Documents
    • Photograph.
    • Passport.
    • Invitation Letter from the sponsor or hotel booking details in case of individual tourist.
    • Invitation Letter in case of group by the Tour Operator designated by the department of tourist services.
  • Duration and Validity
    • Tourist Visa On Arrival is valid for up to 3 months.
    • Nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE may be granted a 30-day, multiple-entry visa upon arrival.
  • Processing Time. Please submit your intent to travel at least 48-72 hours before your planned trip to Pakistan to receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

 

3) Family Visit Visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Foreign citizen of Pakistan Origin and their spouses.

  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • POC or likewise;
      1. Marriage Certificate.
      2. Birth Certificate.
      3. CNIC/ NICOP.
  • Duration and Validity
    • First Time. Visa valid upto 3 months.
    • Extension. Visa valid upto 5 years with upto 1 year stay on each entry.
  • Processing Time. 7-10 Working Days.

 

4) Business Visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Citizen of countries listed here (http://visa.nadra.gov.pk/business-visa-list-bvl/) are eligible to apply for this Visa.

  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Proof of registration of company which is extending invitation (SECP/ Chamber of Commerce Certificate recommendation).
    • Any of the following:-
      • Original recommendation letter from CC&I of respective foreign country.
      • Original Invitation letter from business organization duly recommended by concerned trade organization in Pakistan.
      • Original Recommendation letter by the honorary investment counselor of BOI/ Commercial Attaché.
  • Duration and Validity
    • A Business Visa may be granted for upto 5 years.
    • A Business Visa is valid for Multiple Entries in to Pakistan.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 Weeks.

 

5) Business Visa On Arrival. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. To avail the Business Visa On Arrival, you must be a citizen of the countries listed here (http://visa.nadra.gov.pk/business-visa-list-bvl/).

  • Required Documents
    • Photograph.
    • Passport.
    • Proof of registration of company which is extending invitation (SECP/ Chamber of Commerce Certificate).
    • Any of the following:-
      • Recommendation letter from CC&I of respective foreign country.
      • Invitation letter from business organization duly recommended by concerned trade organization in Pakistan.
      • Recommendation letter by the honorary investment counselor of BOI/ Commercial Attaché.
  • Duration and Validity.  A Business Visa On Arrival is granted for 30 days.
  • Processing Time. Interested businessmen are encouraged to apply for the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) at least 8-10 days prior to their intended date of travel.

 

6) Student Visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Citizen of countries listed here (http://visa.nadra.gov.pk/electronic-travel-authorization-eta/) are eligible to apply for this Visa.

  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Admission/ Bonafide letter.
    • NOC from HEC/ Economic Affairs Division/ IPC/ Health Ministry/ Education Ministry.
    • For Entry Visa: NOC from the concerned Government.
    • For Extension: NOC from concerned embassy in Pakistan of student’s country.
    • Sponsorship/ Bank Statement (in case of accompanying family).
  • Duration and Validity.  A Study Visa is granted for 2 years.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 weeks.

 

7) Work Visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Citizen of foreign countries who have a valid job offer and meet the requirements are eligible to apply for this Visa.

    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Contact Details of the Sponsor.
    • Recommendation Letter from BOI.
    • Employment agreement between company and applicant.
    • Undertaking on company letter head, in case of CPEC/ Government approved project. Letter from concerned Pakistani department/ ministry.
    • CV of applicant.
    • Covering letter on company’s letter head.
    • Company profile.
    • SECP registration letter of company.
    • FBR NTN certificate of the company.
    • Previous Recommendation by BOI/ MOI (if applicable).
  • Duration and Validity  
    • A Work Visa is granted for 1 year.
    • A Work Visa is valid for Multiple Entries in to Pakistan.
  • A Work Visa is extendable on yearly basis subject to approval.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 weeks.

 

8) Domestic Aide Visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Foreign domestic workers are eligible to apply for this visa under the sponsorship of their employer.

    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.

    • Contact Details of the Employer.
    • Copy of agreement duly attested by respective Embassy.
    • NOC by the respective Embassy.
  • Duration and Validity  
    • A Domestic Aide Visa may be granted for 1 year.
    • A Domestic Aide Visa is extendable by 1 year plus double entry.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 weeks.

 

9) Official Visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Foreign Officials of all countries who are assigned to perform official duties in Pakistan are eligible to apply for this visa.

  • Required Documents
    • Photograph.
    • Passport.
    • Letter of Recommendation (By Economic Affairs Division/ MoFA/ Respective Ministry or Department).
  • Duration and Validity.  An Official Visa is valid for the entire tenure of the Official Assignment.
  • Processing Time 
    • 7 working days (First time entry).
    • 4-6 weeks (Visa Extension).

 

10) Diplomatic Visa. Foreign Diplomats can apply for a visa for the entire tenure of their diplomatic assignment. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility 
    • All diplomatic staff of foreign countries are eligible to apply for this visa.
    • Diplomatic Visas will be granted against authorized slots only.

    • Note Verbal by the sending State/ Organization.
    • Letter of Recommendation (by MoFA).
  • Duration and Validity.  An Official Visa is valid for the entire tenure of the Diplomatic Assignment.
  • Processing Time 
    • 7 working days (First time entry).
    • 4-6 weeks (Visa Extension).

 

11) Tabligh Visa. Muslim citizens of foreign countries who wish to participate in Tabligh activities can apply for this visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Muslim citizens of all countries are eligible to apply for this visa.

  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Invitation letter by the authorized Tableeghi Centre.
  • Duration and Validity.  A Tabligh Visa can be granted for 45 days.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 weeks.

 

12) Missionary Visa. Christians Missionaries can apply for this visa to carry out missionary work in Pakistan. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. Christian citizens of all countries are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Invitation letter of the Registered Missionary organization.
  • Duration and Validity  
    1. This visa is valid for 1 year.
    2. This visa is extendable for 1 year.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 weeks.

 

13) Others/ Miscellaneous Visa. Foreign citizens who wish to participate in sports, conferences, seminars and various cultural events taking place in Pakistan can apply for this visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility 
    • All Countries.
    • Applicant must apply 6 weeks in advance of the event he/ she intends to attend.

  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
  • Invitation letter from host organization (In case of accompanying family, there should be a provision to provide invitation letter specifically extended for the family and should carry their entire details).
  • Duration and Validity. The duration and validity of the visa is subjected to the duration of the event.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 weeks

 

14) Journalist Visa. Journalists can apply for this visa which is valid for Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi under the following two categories:-

  • Pakistan Based. Journalists of Pakistan based and accredited media houses.
  • Non-Pakistan Based. Journalists must not be on the negative list.
  • Eligibility
    • All Journalists are eligible to apply subject to approval.
    • Consultation Feedback is required from Press Attachés and Link Offices of the respective media houses.

    • Letter from Media Agency/ Organization
    • Recommendation from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting/ Press Attaché/ Pak Mission Abroad.
  • Duration and Validity. Visa valid for 3 months subject to approval.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 weeks.

 

15) NGO/ INGO Visa. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. All NGO/ INGO officials, staff and their family members are eligible to apply for this visa.

  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Invitation letter by NGO/ INGO.
    • Proof of Registration of the NGO/ INGO.
  • Duration and Validity. All NGO/ INGO visa is valid for 3 months subject to approval.
  • Processing Time. 4-6 Weeks.

 

16) UN/ IO Visa. Officials/ persons deputed to work for or on behalf of the UN and International Organization (IO) in Pakistan can apply. Details are as under:-

  • Eligibility. All UN/ IO officials, staff and their family members are eligible to apply for this visa.
  • Required Documents
    • Dully filled-in visa form.
    • Two passport-size photographs.
    • Passport.
    • Copy of Resident Permit/ National ID Card.
    • Invitation letter (note verbal) issued by the relevant UN Agency/ International Organization in Pakistan.
    • Dispatch letter (note verbal) issued by the relevant UN Agency/ International Organization in Pakistan.
  • Duration and Validity 
    • UN/IO Assignment Visa (already existing/ newly created post) - 1 year multiple entry for Chinese nationals and 6 months multiple entry for third country national.
    • UN/IO Short Term Assignment Visa (Consultants/ Experts/ INGOs Registered in Pakistan) - 1 year multiple entry for UNLP holders and 6 months multiple entry for national passport holders.
    • UN/IO Volunteers Visa – 6 months single entry.
    • Official- UN/IO Visit Visa (Meetings, Training, Conferences and Workshops) – 30 days (or 90 days with reasons) single entry for UNLP holders and 30 days single entry for national passport holders.
