In view of the guidelines of the Turkish Ministry of Health to avoid all public gatherings in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ankara would like to once again announce the cancellation of the Pakistan Day reception which was to be held on the evening of 23rd March 2020. Any inconvenience in this regard to our honorable guests is highly regretted.
We would also like to inform the local Pakistani community and students in Ankara that flag-hoisting ceremony which is held each year on 23 March at the Pakistan Embassy premises with the participation of our community members and students has also been cancelled. The flag-hoisting ceremony will be restricted to the officials of the Embassy only.
We would like to once again urge all our community members and students in Turkey to strictly follow the guidelines and precautions outlined by the Government of Turkey with regard to protection against COVID-19, and avoid all public gatherings and unnecessary travel.
